Pickled Red Onion

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 red onion, medium sized, quartered and thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced

  • Red pepper flakes, large pinch

  • 2 t kosher salt

  • 1 ⁄ 2 t sugar

  • 1 1 ⁄ 2 c red wine vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl add the red onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and sugar then cover with red vinegar. Make sure the onions are covered with vinegar.

  2. Cover and let sit for at least 30 mins. The longer they marinate the better.

  3. Keep in the fridge until they are gone!
